Effective Strategies for Addressing Demands for Property Appraisal

Join us on October 5th for a breakfast seminar addressing the topic of the Property Appraisal process in New York presented by Marco Cercone, Esq. The program will cover a brief overview of the appraisal legislation, to include:

  • A review of the Standard Fire Policy and Ins. Law §3404
  • Mechanisms to compel appraisal under CPLR §7601
  • The substantial increase in the number of demands for appraisal

The program will also cover the appraisal process, detailing what the law says about the process, who can compel an appraisal, and the requirements to compel an appraisal, and any special proceedings that must be undertaken.

Defenses to appraisal demands will also be covered in detail.

The program is in submission to NY State at this time for CE credits, and we anticipate approval by October 5th.

Breakfast will be provided at 8:00am and the program will begin at 8:30
