Chapter Meeting
Diversity Dinner with Ashley N. Campbell
Join us in the Riley Room at Trata to hear University of Rochester's Ashley Campbell present "Moving Beyond Perception" a talk on exposing and increasing awareness of bias; promoting dialogue for deeper learning after self-reflection and creating shared experiences amongst colleagues.
We generally understand “perception” to mean the way of regarding, understanding or interpreting something—the act of creating a mental impression. Routinely, we allow our perceptions to assist us as we navigate the spaces that feed our experiences. Have we considered the depth of our perceptions? What drives us to think, understand or even react a particular way when confronted with something outside of what we consider normal? This workshop will engage your awareness, challenge your perspectives of how we understand what we see or hear, and find opportunities to build accountability within ourselves and amongst your peers.
